About Fabio Bonizzoni

Fabio Bonizzoni, organist and harpsichordist from Milan, has an international career as a soloist, as director of his own ensemble, La Risonanza, and as a continuo player in the vocal group La Venexiana and in orchestras such as Ton Koopman’s Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and Fabio Biondi’s Europa Galante. After having graduated in Italy in organ, organ composition and harpsichord cum laude, from 1987 to 1994 he studied under Ton Koopman at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague where he graduated in both baroque organ and solo harpsichord. He has appeared in numerous programmes broadcast by the BBC, WDR, Radio France, SWF, ORF and HR. After making several recordings for Arcana, Symphonia and Stradivarius, he is now recording exclusively for the label Glossa, both as a soloist and with his group, La Risonanza. He can also be heard playing chamber and orchestral music on CDs for labels such as Virgin, Erato, Opus 111, MDG and Cantus. He is harpsichord professor at the Conservatories of Trapani (Italy) and Lugano (Switzerland).
